Webinar: AB 1661 Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

Webinar attendees must be present at a computer to participate, and confirmation of active participation will be determined through a polling mechanism during the webinar. Each attendee must have an individual registration in order to receive a certificate of completion.
 
Two additional trainings will be held via webinar on July 18 and Nov. 7. In-person trainings will also be available at annual conference in October. 
 
Register online by noon on March 25. Registration is $25 for League Members only. Non-member cities and all others will be charged $125.

Background

AB 1661 (Chapter 816, Statutes of 2016) requires local agency officials to receive two hours of sexual harassment prevention training and education within the first six months of taking office and every two years thereafter if the agency provides an type of compensation, salary, or stipend to those officials.
 
Note: The League and Institute for Local Government recommend that city officials consult with their city attorney to confirm this webinar satisfies the requirements of the local agency.
