FPPC Compliance

The League of California Cities is a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation whose members comprise 476 of the 482 California Cities. As such, Cal Cities is a “publicly funded nonprofit organization” for purposes of Government Code section 84222.5. This statute imposes several additional requirements on organizations like Cal Cities, including posting our FPPC ballot measure campaign filings on the Cal Cities website with a link on our homepage to the page containing the filings. These filings can be found below and this page will be updated as Cal Cities makes additional campaign filings.

Section 84222.5 requires Cal Cities to register and file as a recipient committee although Cal Cities does not accept contributions for political purposes. Cal Cities filings are consistent with FPPC Advice Letter I-18-101, which can also be found below. If you have any questions regarding this page or Cal Cities filings, please contact Irene de Jong, Director of Finance and Operations.
